Coffee Fest Seattle October 4th-6th
While this is the last Coffee Fest to come to Seattle for some time, you can be sure that this weekend’s event will be its best. I had a total caffeinated blast last year and highly recommend you attend!
Coffee professionals and suppliers from around the country will descend at the Washington State Convention Center at one of the nation’s top coffee industry’s shows.
“From Latte Art in the mornings to the opening night reception at Victrola Coffee, Coffee Fest Seattle is packed with everything coffee business owners need to be enlightened, energized and even entertained,” wrote David Heilbrunn, Show Manager and President Lifestyle Events, Inc.
Dozens of classes and workshops will be offered to attendees. But the big news makers are the extremely competitive titles of:
America’s Best Coffeehouse
America’s Best Espresso
Latte Art World Championship
Latte art features two past champions and 30 (of the 64) international competitors. From the top seeds to the 64th qualifier, all of these baristas are world class, truly the best of the best.
Americas Best Espresso features 32 of the top roasters from the western US and Canada. Never before has a full bracket of 32 roasters applied for Americas Best Espresso, stated David Heilbrunn. With judges culled from the competitors at ABC, the competition is dialed in and the best espresso will be crowned on Sunday.
No doubt, the competition will be fierce – bragging rights and a significant purse is to be gained.
In addition to the top prize of two thousand dollars, the Champion will also earn a seed to next year's Champion Show down for the America's Best 2013/2014 Title in Portland at Coffee Fest Spet 17-19.
Since this is the last Coffee Fest to be in Seattle for some time, I'd recommend you check it out. If you’re interested in attending or attending the classes or workshops, visit CoffeeFest.com for more information.
