I love Seattle. There is not a week that goes by that I don’t about think how amazing this city really is – and how much of it is waiting to be rediscovered, even by people who have lived here all of their lives.
Sure, Seattle has its problems. The recent election highlighted those challenges, but I am confident that we’ll find our way.
My confidence in Seattle doesn’t come from the amazing beauty that surrounds this city, nor the innovative businesses that are here. Rather, my confidence in Seattle comes from personally discovering each of the incredible and vibrant neighborhoods we have:
From West Seattle, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Ballard, Green Lake, and Georgetown, to Fremont, Beacon Hill, East Lake, and Magnolia – and everywhere in between – Seattle is one great city.
As they say, we’ve got good bones.
And of course, we’ve got the best coffee in the world, served by some of the best baristas on the planet, served in wonderful and unique cafés and coffeehouses. They’re all found in all of these Seattle neighborhoods, simply waiting to be discovered all over again.
As a week ends where we just had a peaceful election and some crazy-ass winds, I hope that you can find some time to grab a friend and enjoy a rich cup of coffee together and celebrate whatever is beautiful and meaningful in your life.
