When you think of wonderful coffee in Seattle, you might think about places like Queen Anne, Ballard, Wallingford and Fremont, or Capitol Hill… I think West Seattle has some great spots too.
I recently stopped into Flesh Fours Bakery and Café in West Seattle, which finds itself in a handsome red brick building just feet away from White Center.
Walking in, the bright space was pleasant, easy on the eyes, and smell of freshly baked goods was amazing. They bake all their pastries in house and the croissants, macarons, muffins, and cookies on the display look delicious. I had a delicious croissant and a well-poured Americano with Stumptown Beans.
Fresh Flour is a beautiful coffee shop concept. The seating here is quite limited but it’s good for a short stay to charge your phone or laptop (they have a few outlets here). The interiors are very cute, with many wooden accents and always fresh fragrant flowers. In the summer, if the weather is nice, you might want to check out their outdoor patio.
While this location rests on the edge of the city of Seattle, the local area is well served by Fresh Flours. The region is really making economic progress but the local residents have few options to find great coffee in a manner that is equal to say, Capitol Hill.
Fresh Flours is an oasis in the area – a place where local residents can find some great baked goods, coffee, and ambiance. This coffee shop never fails to meet my expectations – providing an abundance of baked options with great coffee.
This is the fourth Fresh Flours location. They have others in Phinney Ridge, Beacon Hill, and South Lake Union.
If you’re in the area, they’re worth a visit.
