Crepes are like chocolate – everyone loves them. If you do too and you’re searching for a warm, and welcoming place to take your hat off and sit among Seattle’s friendliest neighborhood, then Firefly Café and Creperie is your place.
This crêperie, is owned and operated by Charell who left corporate America to do something she loved – making great food and welcoming people in her neighborhood.
Firefly occupies a wonderful corner on California Avenue and Genesee in West Seattle. They also serve Zoka beans (I gladly left with a bag).
Firefly pretty much everything you want to make your morning shine – Sweet and Savory Crepes. There are plenty of vegan & gluten free options too … or you can simply build your own crepes.
Other menu options are soups, salads, baked goods and quiche, most of which they do in house.
The staff is very friendly and accomodating. And Firefly Café is the most popular place in their community – it is surrounded by schools and churches, which together with the local people have been tremendously supportive.
I recently visited and was welcomed by Charell and her friendly staff which were all working hard to fill orders. With wide windows and a cozy feel, this local neighborhood hangout is a charmer. Come by, get a crepe, fill your cup with coffee, and check out the local art and photos by local artists.
Oh, they also serve organic freshly squeezed juices and smoothies in their juice bar!
